Our Most Anticipated Games For 2017

2016 has seen a fair share of quality game releases. Here are the games scheduled for 2017 that we are more than excited for… (In no particular order!)

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone

Great music, cute characters and incredibly challenging gameplay. Just pure goodness from start to finish!

Dragon Quest: The Journey of the Cursed King

Classic anime style role-playing game coming to the Nintendo 3DS. We’d consider this a must-get if you are a happy owner of Nintendo’s handheld.

Tales of Berseria

You can’t really go wrong with the “Tales of… ” games, and the upcoming game in the series looks really fun and intriguing!

Yakuza 0

The Yakuza game series is easily one of the best adventure/ intrigue/ fighting game series around. Great characters, fantastic atmosphere and great plot twists.

Ni-Oh

Ni-Oh looks to be a hard core challenge with lots of original concepts and great artwork. Dark Souls fans should keep an eye on this.

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk

While I haven’t read the original manga (yet, at least), I know enough about this game and its setting to keep me intrigued. If done right, this might become the cult classic that every fan deserves.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

Although the early previews looked pretty weak to us, we’re still hoping that the game will deliver on its promise when it finally releases!

Sonic Mania

Classic old-school Sonic platforming equals pure gaming bliss – the perfect mix of great music, tight gameplay and eye melting colors.

Tekken 7 Fated Retribution

Tekken looks to continue the tradition of over-the-top and in-your-face 3D fighting with spectacular graphics.

Red Dead Redemption 2

There just aren’t enough open-world wild west games around…

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim

Although not officially confirmed for 2017, here’s hoping that we’ll be playing this (beautiful and mysterious game) before long!

Horizon: Zero Dawn

I keep seeing “Zoids” from the 80s in this one, and that’s a good thing.

NieR: AUTOMATA

The sequel to NieR looks to meet our expectations above and beyond.

Toukiden 2

Toukiden quickly became a favorite among us, and the sequel will only expand in every direction.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

“It’s Mahvel baybee!”

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

2017 certainly looks like a promising year for gaming, but the keen-eyed retro fan will notice a distinct lack of retro gaming love here. Hopefully there will be some classics re-released for the current console generation in the coming future. How about a Capcom Arcade Classics for the PS4, PC and Xbox One, for example? And with the release of Nintendo NX, we’d certainly love to play some arcade classics on that one, as well…
